Our client, a financial services company, is seeking experienced paralegals to support their core businesses.
About the Role:
This role provides execution focused support across transactions, governance, litigation, and regulatory matters for attorneys managing elevated workloads.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead paralegal services support for the firm's businesses, including intake, triage, and assignment of work across the product design, development, sales, and marketing lifecycle.
- Project-manage cross-functional legal deliverables and timelines (e.g., product launches, feature enhancements, state implementation readiness) by maintaining trackers, coordinating meetings, and driving follow-ups.
- Support review and operational execution of distribution and sales enablement materials (e.g., illustrations, marketing tools, distributor communications, training decks, sales concepts) to facilitate timely legal review and feedback incorporation.
- Assist with regulatory and compliance readiness by coordinating information requests, organizing responses, and maintaining materials used for filings, examinations, and internal audits, under attorney supervision.
- Manage relationships and workflows with internal partners (Product, Compliance, Risk, Sales, Marketing, Operations) as well as legal shared service providers to ensure clear handoffs, aligned expectations, and timely execution.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures to improve consistency, reduce cycle time, and mitigate risk.
- Monitor key deadlines and deliverables; escalate risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies with proposed path-forward options.
- Coordinate with legal operations on matter management hygiene, budgeting support, invoice processing, and administration related to the Fixed Annuity & Life legal portfolio.
- Prepare and maintain periodic reporting and metrics (e.g., volumes, turnaround times, status dashboards) to support leadership visibility and continuous improvement.
- Provide administrative and operational support as needed, including scheduling/meeting management and coordination across stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of experience.
- Experience supporting generalist legal teams.
- Strong ownership, organization, and follow through.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate requirements into clear actions and timelines.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information; ability to appropriately escalate issues and propose solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort learning new workflow tools and systems.
